This coin (king with spear and bow) was made during (or after) the reign of Persian King Xerxes (=Ahasuerus), 486-465 B.C., whose queen was Esther, a Jew. God used a beauty contest to put Esther in a high position of influence to save the Jewish people throughout the empire from a slaughter planned by Haman. The Jewish holiday of Purim celebrates her deeds.
