Coins minted in Alexandria, Egypt, under Nero commemorated all previous emperors, all his wives, various gods and regional symbols. This series was made using the alloy billon, with minimal silver content. Greek letters are used for numbers in the date. L means "year", A is 1, B is 2, and I is 10, for example. LIA and LIB are for years 11 and 12 (64-65 A.D.).
