John writes to the church in Pergamum the words of Revelation 2:12-17. He quotes Jesus in criticizing those who practice sexual immorality and indirectly contribute to the support of idol worship. If there is no repentance, Jesus will soon fight against them, condemning them with the word of God. For those who are faithful, even when killed for their faith, Jesus has eternal rewards.
