Hossana

In Hossana (also Hosaina) we stayed in the Adia Hotel on the north side. Google Earth can be directed to its location with an entry of that hotel name and city. Here are some views from and of the hotel.

The main purpose of our stay of several days in Hossana was to initiate the Parish Nursing program in the Ethiopian Lutheran church. There were several days of training (mostly male) nurses and a few doctors.

Sunday worship
On Sunday 11 January (my 81-year birthday) the rest of the team went to a large Lutheran church in Hossana. I stayed in my room with traveller's diarrhea. So these are some of the photos taken by others. It was reported that some local people likely walked for hours to be there and then hours to return to home. The roof patterns indicate two different buildings.

At the end of the activities in Hossana, the team (minus me - still ill) and some newly graduated from the Parish Nursing program, provided a medical inspection clinic for the men and women in the local prison. These are some of their photos:
