King Kaleb Silver coin of Kaleb from Wikipedia

A bronze coin of Kaleb, with gold centered on a cross and Christian crosses with the king, from my own coin collection and exhibit.

The Axum empire was at its peak under King Kaleb. In cooperation with King Justin I of Byzantium, King Kaleb helped defeat the persecuters of Christians in Yemen about 520 A.D. After overextending the Axum territory to Yemen, Axum power declined thereafter.
