A clinic was started at Hagere Salem, Ethiopia, by Scandinavian missions in 1946. It is now operated by the Hagere Salem Synod (district) of the Ethiopian Evangelical (Lutheran) Church Mekane Yesus. Its geographic location is on a mountain ridge region at N 6 30' 11.52", E 38 30' 05.90", illustrated by this satellite image.
